This work centers on a process in which the artist paints based on photographs they have taken, and then photographs those paintings again.
By employing the structure of photography and observing a single image through multiple processes, the work invites a reconsideration of the act of “seeing.”
The title a way of seeing is quoted from Susan Sontag’s A Little Summa.
