The area around my home in Musashino City, Tokyo is a residential neighborhood dotted with small managed parks. While this landscape may at first glance not seem to change much, it takes on a different appearance under the street lights at night.
This is a photograph that depicts the voice of nature I heard while walking around my neighborhood at night, shot under the glint of the street lights with my iPhone .
Although the resolution may be lacking, we now have the ability to take photographs even at night. Yet this is precisely the kind of unique image that smartphones allow us to take, which is interesting in its own right. I tried to avoid post processing to the extent possible and retain the view captured by the smartphone as is.
Lives in Tokyo. Her photographs mainly capture the relationships between nature, sites and space. She also writes and produces film.
The five-photograph selection was really powerful and enjoyable.
