THEME #36Winners2022JUL
MISTAKE
GRAND PRIX
Statement
Rolling Stone
Plagues, wars, recessions, political upheavals... the whole world is falling apart.
It made me slowly wonder if it makes sense for us humans to live in this absurd world.
Humans repeatedly make and break rules in this world of their own making. It has always been so until now.
I therefore turned my camera on 'people' through the medium of 'photography'. Through a number of photocopies, I tried to counter and express the absurdity of the world we face with abstract images.

Jury selection
A very poetic series of photographs that is made by a intuitive spirit and by chance and serendipity. An abstract image of the complex world we live in. This work has everything in it, a story and a message is made by loosing control of the outcome of it. When a photographer gets out of control, mostly beautiful unexpected things happen. This work is the true Grand Prix of the Mistake.
