Statement
The Traces of a Memory
I’m a student studying in Japan, and I saw my photos of childhood when I return home temporarily. Looking at previous photos, I noticed that the memory of childhood was vague and dreamlike when I watched old photographs. I want to express my memory of the past and present, but it is invisible. Therefore, in order to restore memory, I took photos again in the places full of childhood memories, such as park, amusement park and seaside according to the scene of old photos in childhood. At different time and places, old photos of my childhood are projected through projector. And through the long exposure of camera, all kinds of memories and realities converged together at the moment when the shutter is opened, which makes me recall scenes of my childhood clearly. Thus the new perspective naturally appeared.
