TRICK
SHORT LIST
Statement
振りのフリ
What is the essence of photography? Would it be tricks and imitation? Imitation is theatrically reproduced by processing (digital), varying sizes, different materials, etc. Imitation, itself, is a trick.
I generally faithfully reproduce anonymous photographs in the fields of scientific evidence, medicine, crime, and the paranormal.
In works that mimic war photography, the violence is brought out by the wounded warrior jokingly pretending to have been pierced by an arrow. In this work, the technique of erasing the volume of fashion photography is used to create volume. In a sense, it is imitation upon imitation. It is as if he were working away from reality. However, it brings us closer to the truth.

Jury selection
The portrait of a man with an arrow stuck in him is a magic trick that everyone can enjoy while knowing the secret. I was also attracted by the diversity of approaches in the other works.
