SELF-PORTRAIT
SHORT LIST
Statement
self-mockery, then
This photography series was taken during the time of the home quarantine caused by covid-9. Once I tried to look back to these works, I felt there are some absurd mentality, which can be defined as a “self-mockery” towards the situation that I had to consume my surplus energy and have fun in the time of disease spread,
indistinctly reflected in the photos.
Would this kind of mentality, or to say, situation, be ended up with the termination of the plague? In the hearts of people who are living on an isolated island, such a situation may be a flashback someday.
I don't know what mood I was in when I was filming, maybe it could be regarded as a pessimistic prediction.

Jury selection
