SELF-PORTRAIT
SHORT LIST
Statement
“show(s/n)”
In this body of work image compositing or multiple exposure techniques are not used. I projected my self-portraits onto different surfaces to explore the relationship between a photo, light, the self, and the environment. Some photos were inverted to become negatives and projected, which made them inaccessible to the regular eye but became more real as soon as the photo taken of it is inverted, bringing the “real” to the “unreal” and the “unreal” to the “real.” This project is still ongoing and in its early days.

Jury selection
