MEMORIES
SHORT LIST
Statement
Blurred memories
I guess no memory lasts forever. They always keep fading away in our brains. Most of time when we try to remember something happened, the uncertain parts just come together. As time goes by, our memories just become mix of our imagination and the truth happened. Photography is somehow like memories: we just making uncertain parts when we take a photo, and more uncertain parts will come out when others see it.

Jury selection
Judged by Tim Barber:
Inspired by the Grand Prix, Takahashi Miki’s work, I thought it would be fun and interesting to make a compilation of the widely diverse and eclectic work submitted for this contest. When edited and organized, the “memory” submissions, sent in from dozens of artists, become a kind of collective-memory-collage, a dream sequence of disparate clues from a kaleidoscopic narrative.
