LITTLE ODESSA EXPERIENCE
Spring 2021 I've always wanted to go to Little Odessa. I've been to NY many times but this was my first experience. I had planned to go alone, but while hanging out with my skater friends in Chinatown, when I said I wanted to go, they said, "Your choice is pretty SICK," and before I knew it, we were all headed there together. Because the Japanese and other tourists usually go to Coney Island. Amusement parks, seagulls, and lovers. Not interested in such scenery, we headed to Little Odessa, a Russian neighborhood where a mafia movie I saw a long time ago was filmed.

Jury selection
Judged by Tim Barber:
Inspired by the Grand Prix, Takahashi Miki’s work, I thought it would be fun and interesting to make a compilation of the widely diverse and eclectic work submitted for this contest. When edited and organized, the “memory” submissions, sent in from dozens of artists, become a kind of collective-memory-collage, a dream sequence of disparate clues from a kaleidoscopic narrative.
* This work was included in a curated collection of works selected by the judge Tim Barber from a number of submitted works. See the collection
