THEME SUMMARY
Dream; a yearning, a wish, the vision in our sleep or the reveries in daylight. This fluid illusion has repeatedly revealed itself through images and has inspired us along the way, involving senses of hope, beauty, fear, a whole assortment of emotions. With this infinite field of imagination as your stage, visualize the world of dream you see with photographs. Perhaps, you will meet another part of yourself you were never aware of.

JUDGE
Alec Soth
Alec Soth / Born in 1969 Minneapolis, Minnesota. A Magnum Member since 2008. With his bodies of work within the American contemporary photography context built based on his road trips, he gathered the attention of the art industry from an early stage of his career. He held many exhibitions worldwide at places such as the Whitney Biennale (2004) in New York, Jeu de Paume (2008) in Paris and Media Space in London (2015). Sleeping by the Mississippi (2004), Niagara (2006), Broken Manual (2010), Songbook (2015), I Know How Furiously Your Heart Is Beating (2019) are a few among his published books and his works are in the collections of acclaimed museums some of which are San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Minnesota Walker Art Center.
NOTE
The applicant must be older than 16 years old. If you are underthe age of 18, please apply after obtaining the consent of your parent or guardian. The registration fee is 2,000 JPY for each apply.

GUIDELINES
IMA next is a photo competition that aims to support emerging photographers to succeed in the art photography world.
| How to apply | – Please chose the theme you would like to enter for and fill out the appropriate submission form. Make sure you chose the right form as it is different depending on each theme. |

| Who can apply? | The applicant must be older than 16 years old. Otherwise, anyone is welcome! We have no restriction in terms of your nationality, age, gender or experience (Professional/Amateur). |
| Submission period | For each theme, there will be about 2 months submission period. |
| Application fee | 2,000JPY per entry. |
| Image requirements | – All submissions need to be still photographs, no moving images will be accepted. All sorts of post-production processes are allowed. |
